Our Commitment to You

Welcome to Mobizim, a service built to make it easy for you to manage mobile phones that you own or owned by your family. We understand that the information that you store on your mobile phone is important and personal and you may not want to share it with others. This is why we give you control of your information and you decide what information is important and what you would like to share with others. We will under no circumstances and to be best of our ability, not share any personally identifiable information with 3rd parties, our partners, or affiliates.

The Mobizim service is operated by Mobizim, Inc. (’Mobizim’), and consists of the ZimPlace Web sites and other features and services offered by Mobizim.

Mobizim and its employees take your privacy very seriously. Mobizim’s Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how we collect information you share with us. To make it easier for you to read and understand our privacy policy, we’ve written it in plain language and tried to keep it to a reasonably short length.

Collection of Personal Information

There are following different types of information you share with us.

  • We collect specific information like browser type and IP address for all Mobizim visitors. In addition we store certain information from your browser using “cookies”
  • When you register for Mobizim services, you provide us with certain personal information, such as your name, email address, and your mobile telephone number.
  • For registered users we will additionally collect personal information like your phone numbers, operating system, serial numbers, and your cell phone service provider. We also collect the information of the version of mobizim software on your phone.
  • We may also collect demographic information, such as your age, gender, and home ZIP code.
  • If you choose to make a purchase or sign up for a paid subscription service, we will ask for additional information, such as your credit card number and billing address, which is used to create a Mobizim billing account.
  • The content that you backup and store from your mobile phone and other properties (as defined in the Mobizim Terms of Use Policy) on the Mobizim site is considered personally identifiable information. Mobizim will automatically collect some of this information to connect you to your friends subscribed to the service and bring you additional customized services and content.
  • Your personally identifiable information is also used to authenticate access to your content.

If you disable or limit our access the information that we automatically collect, this will limit your ability to access and use some or all of our services and in some cases disable specific services.

Improper Collection or Misuse

Any improper collection or misuse of information provided on Mobizim service is a violation of the Mobizim Terms of Use and Privacy Policy should be reported to privacy@mobizim.com.

Inviting Family and Friends

If you choose to use our invitation service to tell a friend or family member about our site, we will ask you for only the information needed to send the invitation, such as their email address. We will send your friend or family member an email in your name inviting him or her to visit the site, and may send up to three reminders to them. Mobizim stores this information to send invitations and reminders, to register a connection if your invitation is accepted, to allow you to see invitations you have sent, and to track the success of our referral program. The recipient of the email can contact us at privacy@mobizim.com to request that we remove this information from our database.

Information Security

Mobizim takes appropriate precautions to protect our users’ information. Your account information is located on a secured server behind a firewall and not directly accessible. If we require you to enter sensitive information, such as your credit card number or our password, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer (SSL). Other information like email, SMS etc are not recognized as secure communication and therefore private information should not be exchanged by email or SMS.

Children Under Age 13

Mobizim does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such person to register. If you are under 13, please do not attempt to register for Mobizim or send any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, or e-mail address. No one under age 13 may provide any personal information to or on Mobizim. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 with verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. Children Between the Ages of 13 and 18

We recommend that minors between the age of 13 and 18 should not send any information about themselves to anyone over the internet including sending text messages (SMS) and multimedia message services (MMS).

Anonymous Information

Mobizim may use any non-personally identifiable information that it collects or stores including your feedback (but excluding your personal data stored) for any purpose it deems appropriate.

Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s computer tied to information about the users. Cookies are a common and used by many web sites to provide useful features for their users. Cookies are small files that are written or downloaded to your computer’s hard drive when you access a site. They allow Mobizim to store and quickly retrieve login information on your computer and provide data that we can use to improve your experience on the Mobizim service.

Mobizim may use session ID cookies to confirm that users are logged in. Session ID cookies terminate once the user closes the browser. Mobizim will use persistent cookies as default to store your login ID (but not your password) to make it easier for you to login when you come back to Mobizim. You can remove or block this cookie using the settings in your browser if you want to disable this feature.

Links

Mobizim may contain links to other websites. We are under no circumstances responsible for the privacy practices of the other web sites. We recommend and encourage our users to review the privacy policy of all providers before sharing personally identifiable information.

Canceling membership

You always have the option to cancel your membership at any time. If you are a member and no longer wish to use Mobizim services you can sign in to the site and click on the Profile at the top of the page; then select deactivate my account and follow the simple instructions.

Co-Branding and White-Label Services

Mobizim may be co-branded or offered under the brand of our affiliates & partners. In such case we recommend that you review our partner and affiliates privacy policy before signing up for the service.

Non U.S Users and User from Other Countries and Regions

Mobizim is hosted in United States and all of the data collected and backup is stored in United States. Different regions, including European Union (EU) have different laws governing data collection. By using our service you are consenting to our (Terms of Use Policy) and our Privacy Policy and you also agree to the transfer of your personal data to the United States as indicated above.

Changes in Privacy Policy

If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement, the phone page, and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any we disclose it.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy statement at any time, so please review it frequently. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here, by email, or by means of a notice to on our home page.

IF ANY MODIFICATION IS UNACCEPTABLE TO YOU, YOU SHALL STOP USING THE MOBIZIM SERVICE. YOU SHALL DEACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT FROM YOUR PROFILE PAGE OR SEND NOTIFICATION TO MOBIZIM OF YOU REQUEST. MOBIZIM WILL DEACTIVATE THE ACCOUNT AT SOON AS POSSIBLE. YOUR CONTINUED USE OF THE MOBIZIM SERVICE FOLLOWING OUR POSTING OF A CHANGE NOTICE OR ON OUR WEBSITE OR BLOG OR RECEIVING OUR EMAIL NOTIFYING YOU OF THE CHANGE WILL CONSTITUTE YOUR BINDING ACCEPTANCE OF THE CHANGE.
